Your True Power

Your True Power

A lesson/download I had recently was about how we never allow ourselves to think positively about ourselves. But why?? Why are we made to feel that we can't think great things about ourselves? Because to others it seems vain, shallow and selfish. But what if it isn't? What if it's just something that we're fed to not realize our full potential? Most of us don't realize that are walking around with faulty automatic programming. You almost have to catch yourself when you have feelings of unworthiness or lack. We believe that we're not good enough or don't deserve something? But who say's? The reality is that this programming becomes embedded in our minds once we start high/middle school and become self aware. Think about how when you were a child, everything was easy and fun and you didn't worry about having the latest phone, handbag or the nicest car, let alone worry about your appearance. Once you enter middle school or high school, you are made to feel not good enough. Grades are not enough and you're too tall, too skinny, too smart, too rich, too poor, to unpopular. Everyday and all day at school, can and is programming you to have feelings of unworthiness. Before you know it those feelings become beliefs. After all a belief is just a thought that is repeated long enough to become one. That is called programming. If you allow people to tell you how you "should" feel and what you "should" believe then you give up your own power and give it to them. Be mindful of your thoughts as you go about your day today. Catch those thoughts and practice affirmations. To reprogram your mind takes some of your own willingness to improve how you think and feel about yourself and about life in general. It starts to become your rose colored filter.

*Post on affirmations coming up soon! And the Youtube channel will be getting an update on content . More videos will be uploaded on this type of content as well as beauty and lifestyle. Stay tuned!
